Los equipos Specialized y Flex de la Fundación Alberto Contador comienzan la temporada 2015 en Calpe

image2La Fundación Alberto Contador celebró su primer training camp de la temporada en Calpe, donde los 31 corredores integrados en los equipos Specialized-Sub 23 y Flex-Junior han estado concentrados desde el 4 al 8 de diciembre para planificar el año 2015.

En el tercer año de vida de la Fundación Alberto Contador, el objetivo que se ha planteado es avanzar en la madurez de los 17 corredores del Specialized-Sub 23, en el que por primera vez correrá un ciclista extranjero, el belga Kenny Molly,  lo que señala el camino emprendido hacia la internacionalización del proyecto, también marcado por un calendario que da mucha importancia a correr en Europa, incluyendo pruebas en Francia, Bélgica, Portugal e Italia, sin olvidar el calendario español.

El equipo Flex-Junior, formado por 14 corredores, centró su trabajo en la integración de los ocho nuevos corredores procedentes del Campus de Selección ‘La Mafia se sienta a la mesa’, pues el resto de ciclistas ya conocían a la Fundación Alberto Contador, incluido  Kenny Molly, el único sub-23 que no sube directamente desde los juniors.

El training camp estuvo dedicado durante los dos primeros días a realizar pruebas de esfuerzo, a cargo de Cardiosalus Sport, así como a los primeros test de Rotor para establecer los parámetros ideales de cada ciclista con los platos ovales. Así mismo, se ha trabajo en la planificación del calendario de cada corredor en función de sus objetivos a lo largo de la temporada.

El proveedor de computadores Mio también tuvo un papel destacado en estos días, en los que el equipo se puso al día en el manejo de los dispositivos y las mejoras introducidas para la próxima temporada. Todo ello se puso a prueba en las dos salidas en bicicleta que realizó el equipo conjuntamente a bordo de las nuevas bicicletas Specialized, a falta todavía de terminar su puesta a punto en cuanto se reciban los componentes que  quedan por llegar al equipo.

La próxima cita del equipo será un nuevo training camp para los corredores del Specialized-Sub 23 programado para febrero, a la espera de la presentación oficial del equipo y el posterior inicio de la competición, previsto el 21 de febrero en Don Benito para el Flex-Junior y el 22 en el caso del Specialized-Sub 23.
