Nuevas victorias para Pablo Noriega y Diego Pablo Sevilla

El cántabro Pablo Noriega y el madrileño Diego Pablo Sevilla consiguieron este fin de semana dos nuevos triunfos que añadir a la cuenta del Specialized-Fundación Alberto Contador, que suma ya 29 victorias en lo que va de temporada.

El sábado, en la localidad cántabra de La Cavada, el equipo de Alberto Contador alineó a sus cinco corredores cántabros (Fran Pérez, Juanjo Pazos, Óscar Linares, Sergio Fernández y Pablo Noriega), junto al único vasco de la formación, Iosu Angotia, en una carrera marcada por una fuga de salida de dos corredores, uno de ellos Óscar Linares.

La escapada prosperó hasta el punto de que los dos corredores de cabeza sólo pudieron ser alcanzados por otra pareja, en este caso integrada por Manuel Martín (Bathco) y Pablo Noriega. El cuarteto continuó ya unido hasta la línea de meta, donde se decidió la victoria en un sprint que se anotó Noriega, consiguiendo así su tercer triunfo del año. También el sábado, Fernando Barceló corrió en la localidad navarra de Ayegui, donde terminó segundo.

Hoy, en la localidad madrileña de Boadilla del Monte, se disputó el Campeonato Regional de Contra Reloj individual, sobre un recorrido muy técnico de 11 kilómetros. Tomaron la salida los tres madrileños del Specialized-Fundación Alberto Contador, Miguel Ángel Alcaide, Víctor Aguado y Diego Pablo Sevilla, que ocuparon, respectivamente, los puestos séptimo, quinto y primero. Sevilla consiguió así continuar con su racha y anotó la cuarta del año en su casillero.

Noriega and Sevilla gave two new triumphs to the Specialized- Alberto Contador Foundation Team

The Cantabrian Pablo Noriega and Diego Pablo Sevilla, from Madrid, got  this weekend two new victories to add to the account of Specialized-Alberto ContadorFoundation,  which now totals 29 wins so far this season.

On Saturday, in the Cantabrian town of La Cavada, Alberto Contador’s team lined its  five Cantabrian riders (Fran Pérez, Juanjo Pazos, Oscar Linares, Sergio Fernandez and Pablo Noriega), plus the only Basque rider of the team, Iosu Angotia, in a race marked by an escape of two riders, one of them Oscar Linares.

The breakaway prospered to the point that the two front riders could only be reached by another couple, in this case composed of Manuel Martin (Bathco) and Pablo Noriega. The quartet continued united to the finish line, where it was decided the victory in a sprint that Noriega scored, earning his third win of the year. Also on Saturday, Fernando Barceló rode in the town of Ayegui (Navarra), where he finished second.
