One of the great novelties of the junior team for the 2021 season is the arrival of the Hungarian Gergo Magyar. The cyclist, one of the most promising talents in cycling in his country, has come to the Contador Foundation after having participated in a virtual edition of the Selection Campus where, in addition to his sporting results, his good academic results and his efforts to speak Spanish were also appreciated. The truth is that Magyar has been able to compete these two seasons in some of the cadet category races on the Spanish calendar. Enrolled in the Port Hotels-Grupo Sime of the Club Ciclista Alfaz del Pi, Gergo has taken part in both road and track events in the Levantine panorama. In March he managed to finish third in the prestigious Vuelta a Gandía. “I’m riding my bike from a very young age. My father inspired me because he is a cycling fan, he also participated in races but he wasn’t a professional. I nearly love everything about cycling, the sufferings, the uphills, the downhills and also the fast sprints. My big dream is to wear the rainbow jersey and win once a jersey at the Tour de France, I don’t mind if it’s a green, a polka-dot or even the yellow one. I know it requires a lot of sufferning and hard work, but I always try to do my best”, he tells.
