Alberto Contador Foundation and Citroën will roll together next two seasons

Citroën will be the official supplier of vehicles to Alberto Contador Foundation next two seasons. The agreement means that Alberto Contador cycling teams, which in 2015 will be the Under 23 and Junior formations, will be equipped with a total of seven racing and transportation vehicles provided by Citroën Spain.

Citroën has given to the Alberto Contador Foundation four C5 Tourer Cross, which will be the race cars of the Specialized-Sub 23 and Flex-Junior teams, plus a Citroën Jumpy Multispace of nine seats especially suitable for transporting cyclists, and two Citroën Jumper vans that will be dedicated to the transport of equipment. “The C5 that we’ll use in the races are perfectly suited to the demands of competition for power and its amplitude and other technical characteristics, whereas transport’s vans cover all the logistical needs of our teams, which are growing”, says Fran Contador, the Foundation’s manager.

Citroën logo will appear on all 2015 jerseys of the Foundation, indicating the importance of the agreement, says Fran Contador. “For a cycling team, the fleet of vehicles is paramount, so the agreement with Citroën is strategic to consolidate this project”.

The new fleet of vehicles will be shown for the first time on February 16, when the official presentation of 2015 teams is scheduled.
